The RMS voltage is 100√2 volts. And the frequency is 100π.

For alternating electric current, RMS is equal to the value of the direct current that would produce the same average power dissipation in a resistive load circuit of the system described. The RMS is a continuation of a sinosuidal wave described as the square root of the arithmetic mean of the squares of the values or the square of the function.

"Given Equation:

v= { V }_{ m }\quad sin(\omega t\quad \pm \quad \phi )

v=100\sqrt { 2\quad} sin(100\Pi t)

To Find:    RMS value and frequency.

Peak voltage from the given equation is100\sqrt { 2\quad}

RMS value = 0.707 \times 100\sqrt { 2\quad}

                 = 0.707 \times 141.42

                   =100 V

\omega =100\pi \quad =>\quad 2\pi f=100\pi

f=\frac { 100 }{ 2 } =\quad 50\quad Hz

Therefore the RMS value is 100 V and frequency is 50 Hz."
