if r1, r2 resistor follow parellel series then equivalent resistance R
1/R=1/r1+1/r2

In a parallel connection, the potential difference is constant.
v=constant
Let the resistances be R1,R2,R3,................
Let the current flowing into the circuit=i
Let the current flowing through the 1st,2nd,3rd,...... resistors be i1,i2,i3,........
According to junction rule, 
i=i1+i2+i3+..........
We know that i=v/R
V/R=V/R1+V/R2+V/R3+............
1/R=1/R1+1/R2+1/R3+............
