51.5

Given:

The equivalent weight of  Metal oxide is 24.

To Find:

The equivalent weight of  Metal chloride?

For oxide it will be 8 so for a metal it will be 16 then only  16 + 8 = 24

M            +            O_{2}           =         MO_{2}

16           +             8             =         24

M           +             Cl_{2}          =        MCl_{2}

16          +             35.5        =         51.5

Hence,  the answer is   51.5.

i.e   The equivalent weight of  Metal chloride  is  51.5.
