The expansion of cultivation is a positive sign of progress and at the same time it has negative impacts also. It is advantageous in the sense that more is the expansion more will be the availability of food for the masses so less will be food crisis. But at the same time, it will mean more encroachment of land and natural ecosystem, more deforestation so increased pollution and global warming.
