The external dimension of a closed wooden box are 52cm,20cm and 8cm. If the box is made up of 1.5cm thick wood, find the internal volume of the box.

external dimensions:
length=60cm, breadth=45cm, height=32cm.
external volume=(60 x 45 x 32)= 86400.
internal dimensions:
length=60—(2.5×2) = 55cm
breadth=45–(2.5×2) = 40cm
height=32–(2.5×2) = 27cm
internal volume= 55×40×27= 59400

volume=Ex.volume– In.volume= 86400–59400=27000

Volume=27000
