The myopia eye is off course corrected by concave lens. The person have myopia this means that this person can see the distinct object and his far point is 80 cm here.
So..
u = infinity
v = - 80 cm
f = ?
Then using the formula... 1/v - 1/u = 1/f
-1/80 - 1/infinity = 1/f
-1/80 = 1/f ( because 1/infinity = 0)
f = - 80 cm
Now..
Power, P = 1/f
= 1/-0.8 ( because f should be in metre)
= -10/8
= - 1.25 D.

u = infinity
v = - 80 cm
