Given:

y=-x² -x + 20

point D (3,4)

Find value of h = ?

\text { So, when } x=0\\

y=-(0)^{2}-0+20\\=20

\text { the coordinate of } C \text { is }(0,20)\\

\text { when } y=0=-x^{2}-x+20

-x² -x + 20=0

x=-5 or x=4

So the coordinate of A is (-5 , 0)

So the coordinate of B is (4 , 0)

when put x= 3

y= -x² -x + 20

y= -(3)² - 3 +20

y= -9 -3 +20

y=20-12

y=8

the point D (3,4) lies on the curve is equal to (3 , 8)

so the value of h is 8

Hence the value of h is 8
