The figure shows position-time graph of two riders C and
D. Based on the information represented by the graph,
answer the following questions.

20. Att = 0 s
(1) Rider C is ahead of rider D
(2) Rider D is ahead of rider C
(3) Rider C and D are at the same position
(4) Not enough information is given

21. At t = 0 s
(1) C is moving, and D is at rest
(2) Dis moving, and C is at rest
(3) C and D are both moving
(4) C and D are both at rest

22. At t = 0 s
(1) C has a greater velocity than D
(2) D has a greater velocity than C
(3) C and D have the same velocity
(4) C is accelerating

23. At t = 10 s
(1) C and D are at the same position
(2) Cand D have the same velocity
(3) The velocity of D is greater than the velocity
of C
(4) C is in front of D

Answer:

20) 2 , position of rider D is ahead of rider C at starting. i.e in the y axis

21) 2 , D is moving since at time t=O position is not zero for D.But incase of rider C its postion is zero at time t=0

22) 1,C has a greater velocity than D ,since slope of C is greater than slope of D. where slope of p - t graph gives velocity

23) 1,C and D are in the same position

Answer:

20 at t=0s rider D is ahead of rider C because rider D is at some distance that is xm so option 2 is correct

21 at t=0s both have positive slopes so both C and D are moving so option 3 is correct

22 at t =0s C has more velocity than D so option 1 is correct

23 at t=10s both C and D are at same position so option 1 is correct
