To find : Prism angle, angle of emergence, and angle f are...

solution : using formula, δ = (μ - 1)A

deviation angle, δ = 37°

refractive index of prism (glass) = 1.5

so, 37° = (1.5 - 1)A

⇒A = 74°

also we know, A + δ = i + e

so, 74° + 37° = 30° + e

⇒e = 81°

and angle f = 180° - A

[ see figure, Aife makes an quadrilateral where ∠fiA = 90° , ∠feA = 90° so, ∠f = 180° - A ]

⇒f = 180° - 74° = 106°

Therefore A, e and f are 74° , 81° and 106° respectively.
