the filament of a bulb takes a current 100 mA when the potential difference across it is 0.2 volt. When the potential difference across it becomes 1.0 volt the the current becomes 400 m a calculate the resistance of the filament in each case and account for the difference.

Total v = 1 + 0.2 thus total r = Veq/Ieq = 1.2/0.5 = 2.4. resistance in case i = 0.2/0.1 = 2 and in case  ii = 10/4 = 2.5. difference = 0.5
