Given :

  • Diameter of base = 14cm
  • Height = 40cm

To Find :

  • Curved Surface area of cylinder
  • Total Surface Area of Cylinder

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Diameter=14cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Radius=\cancel\dfrac{14}{2}=7}

\longmapsto\tt{Height=40cm}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{C.S.A\:of\:Cylinder=2\pi{rh}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{2\times\dfrac{22}{\cancel{7}}\times{\cancel{7}}\times{40}}

\longmapsto\tt{44\times{40}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{1760{cm}^{2}}

So , C.S.A of Cylinder is 1760cm²...

For T.S.A of Cylinder :

Using Formula :
