We know that A = P(1 + r/100)^n
= > 4000(1 + 5/100)^2
= > 4000(1 + 1/20)^2
= > 4000(21/20)^2
= > 4000(441/400)
= > 4410
Intrest after 2 years = 4100 - 4000
= 410
Interest after half year = (4410 * 5 * 1)/(100 * 2)
= 110.25
total interest after 2.5 years = 410 + 110.25
= 520.25
