Panchanan Karmakar is the right answer.


An Indian  Bengali creator Panchanan Karmakar invented the Bengal font for typing. He created the first Bengali typeface for print under the supervision of  Charles Wilkins, an English typographer. His invented hard Bengali letters and typeface had been practised until Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar introduced a simple variant in 1780.
