It was first printed stamp in 1947 in Bundi state. It is an English newspaper and the first edition was published in the year of 1938 and it was published on Wednesday and Saturday at the first publishing time. In 1915, an English journalist Thomas Jewell joined this newspaper.
He named his company as Bennett. After that Coleman & Co. Ltd and took ownership of this newspaper and after the independence the newspaper owned by the Indian government. In 1976 this ownership was given to by India Government.
