perimeter of rectagular hall =6lb
250=2(l+b)
250/2= l+b
125= l+b ......(1)

cost of four wall== 10rs./m^2 × 4(l+b)×h
15000== 10 × 4 ×125× h
15000/10=500 × h
1500/500 = h
3 meter = height

Question ::-

The floor of a rectangular hall has a perimeter 250m if the cost of painting the four walls at the rate of 10 per m2 is 15000 find the height of the wall ?

Given ::-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 250m

  • Cost of painting per {m}^{2} = Rs.10

  • Total cost of painting = Rs.15000

To find ::-

  • Height of wall ?

Solution ::-

Let ,

  • Length of rectangle = l

  • Breadth of rectangle = b

  • Height of rectangle = h

____________

Area of four walls

= 2lh + 2bh

= 2(l+b)h

_________

Area of four walls

= 2(l+b)h

= 250h{m}^{2}

___________

cost of painting per {m}^{2} = Rs.10

Cost of painting the walls = rs. 15000

15000 = 2500h

h = 6cm

Therefore height of the hall is 6m
