The floor of a room is 8 m 25 cm long and 6 m 75 cm wide. It is to be paved by equal square marble tiles. Find the largest size of the tile and hence find the least number of tiles required.​

Size of marble tile = 2.25 × 2.25 = 5.0625

No. of such tiles required = 55.6875 / 5.0625

= 11

Therefore, 11 such tiles are required to pave the floor.
