The floor of a room measuring 7m×5.6mit to be carpeted leaving 3m space bare all around. Find the carpeted area.

the diagonal of rectangle are equal.

We have to leave 0.3m on all sides so 0.3 * 2 = 0.6m which has to be deducted from length and breadth so as to get the surface of carpeted area.

Therefore 7- 0.6 = 6.4 , 5.6 -0.6 = 5

6.4 * 5 = 32m

So the answer is 32m
