Perimeter of rect = 400 cm

2(l+b) = 400

l+b = 400/2 = 200 cm

Curved surface area of cuboid = 2h(l+b)

= 2h(200)

= 400h

Cost of painting per cm² = 12 Rs

1 cm² = 12 Rs

Cost of painting 4 walls of cuboid = 24000 Rs

CSA × rate per cm² = 24000

400h × 12 = 24000

h = 24000/(12×400)

h = 5 cm

I think 5 cm and 400 cm sum is too less for a rectangular hall

It should be in metres

If it is in metres, change all my units to metres

Hope it helps

primeter of rectangle =2(l+b)
400=2(l+b)
400/2 =l+b
200 = l+b
C.S.A = 24000/12
C.S.A =2000
C.S.A =2(l+b)h
2000= 2(200)h
2000/400 = h
5 = h
h= 5
