The following data gives the values of refractive indices of some media

Alcohol :- 1.36
Benzene :- 1.50
Kerosene :- 1.44
Turpentine oil :- 1.47

Light passes through these media one by one. Arrange these in the increasing order of the speed of light through them.

Here greater the refractive index lesser will speed as seen as c=frequency×wavelength and refractive index is inversely proportional to wavelength so order is - alcohol<kerosene<turpentine<benzene

Answer:

by the formula refractive index = speed of light in vacuum /speed of light in other medium we find it easier plz like

Explanation:

alcohol<kerosene<turpentine oil<benzene
