Therefore the value of x=68.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data 59,62,65,x,x+2,72,85,94

n =the number of data points = 8

(\frac{n}{2} )^{th}term=(\frac{8}{2} )^{th}term = 4^{th} term=x

(\frac{n}{2}+1 )^{th}term=(\frac{8}{2}+1 )^{th}term = 5^{th} term=  x+2

Median=\frac{\frac{n}{2}^{th}+( \frac{n}{2}+1)^{th}}{2}

            =\frac{x+x+2}{2}

           =\frac{2x+2}{2}

Given the median = 69

Therefore

\frac{2x+2}{2}=69

\Rightarrow x+1=69

⇒x=68

Therefore the value of x=68.
