\huge\bf Given

  • Total Num (n) = 10
  • Middle num = 5th and 6th
  • Median = 63

\huge\bf Solution:-

Here we used the formula :-

Median ⟶  \frac{n}{2}  \frac{n+1}{2}th term

⟶63 =  \frac{x+x+2}{2}

⟶63 =  \frac{2x}{2}

⟶63 = x + 1

⟶x = 62

Final answer =\sf{\red{62}}

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

29 , 32 , 48 , 50 , x , x + 2 , 72 , 78 , 84 , 95

are given observations.

number of observations ( n ) = 10 [ even ]

median = average ( n/2 , n/2 + 1 )th terms

= Ave( 5th & 6th ) terms

= ( x + x + 2 )/2

= ( 2x + 2 )/2

= x + 1 ----( 1 )

median = 63 ( given ) ----( 2 )

from ( 1 ) & ( 2 ) , we get

x + 1 = 63

x = 62

I hope this helps you.
