Given :  the data about motion of a car.

Time (h) Distance (km) 1.00 30 1.30 60 2.00 90 2.30 95 3.00 130

To Find :  Plot the graph.

speed of the car between 2.00 hours and 2.30 hours.

average speed of the car

Solution:

Time Distance

hr       km

1 :00 30

1:30         60

2:00 90

2:30 95

3:00 130

Plot time on x axis and distance on y axis.

e speed of the car between 2.00 hours and 2.30 hours  = (95 - 90)/(0.5)

= 10 km/hr

Average speed =  ( 130  - 30)/ ( 3 - 1)  = 100/2  = 50 km/hr

car’s motion is not uniform as distance covered in equal interval of time is not equal
