It is because of the staple food of the state. For example If you take Andhra Pradesh state the food eaten by the people is Rice(staple food). It is because the availability of the rice is more. And in Northern states the staple food is Rotis. The availability of wheat is more.
So the availability of food of the state is the reason for the above question.
Thankyou

This is due to the different crops generally grown in the stqte depending on the weather conditions. For example:in andhra pradesh rice growing belts are more so the people generally eat rice but in northern areas they have more of cultivation of wheat...so the preferrably eat chappathis and rotis.
