Here, the mass of the block is 1 kg. thus the normal force = 1N.

So the highest value of limiting friction possible is 1N.
Now,
At t =2sec.
force = (5- 2x2)N = 1N

Thus the frictional force = 1N

The force = frictional force because under limiting friction, The friction adjusts itself According to the force.

If the value of limiting friction is F. then Frictional force = force applied (when force < limiting friction)

Anonymous286: agar friction force overcomes applied force so body will move in opposite direction lol :)
yuvrajkj: are but ye thode na btaya hai ki object is moving or not
Anonymous286: but fir bhi aisa condition kabhi maine toh nahi dekha
Anonymous286: ki friction force overcomes applied force
yuvrajkj: yes, you are right
yuvrajkj: answer is 1N only
Anonymous286: Btw just see the questions i recently posted and answer it if u know
yuvrajkj: sry bro, i Haven't done that chapter
Anonymous286: ok

Frictional force =uN
=0.2*1*9.8
=1.96N
At t=2sec
F=5-2t
=5-2(2)
=5-4
=1
Now since applied force is less than f(limiting)
frictional force (f)=applied force
Hence frictional force =1N
Hope it helps
:)

gurmit04: but the ans. to this question is 2N
Anonymous286: how is it even possible
