Hey.

The force of gravity is said to be one-sixth of that on Earth.

The acceleration due to gravity on earth is g=9.81 m/s^2

so, on moon it will be g/6

or, 9.81/6 = 1.635 m/s^2

As mass , m = 12 kg

So, Weight :

a) on earth = W = mg = 12×9.81 = 117.72 N

b) on moon = m g/6 = 12×1.635 = 19.62 N

Thanks.
