HELLO DEAR,

let 1/x = p , 1/y = q

15p + 2q = 17 ------------( 1 )
P + q = 36/5
5p + 5q = 36------------( 2 )

From----------( 1 ) & --------( 2 )
multiply by (3) in ----( 2 )

15p + 2q = 17
15p + 15q = 108
—————————
-13q = -91

q = 91/13

q = 7 [ put in ----( 1 )]

we get,

15p + 2*7 = 17

15p = 17 - 14

p = 3/15

p = 1/5

P = 1/x = 1/5

X = 5
AND,

q = 7 = 1/y

Y = 1/7

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS

Solution:-

given by:-
 \frac{15}{x}  +  \frac{2}{y}  = 17 \: and \:  \frac{1}{x}  +  \frac{1}{y}  =  \frac{36}{5}  \\ let \:  \frac{1}{x}  = a \\  \frac{1}{y}  = b \\ then \\  a + b = \frac{36}{5}  \\ 5a + 5b = 36........(1) \\ 15a + 2b = 17.....(2) \\ multiply \: by \: eq(1) \times 3 \\ 15a + 15b = 108......(3) \\ substraction \: eq(2) \: in \: eq(3) \\ 13b = 91 \\ b = 7 \\ putting \: b \: value \: in \: eq(1) \\ 5a + 35 = 36 \\ 5a = 36 - 35 \\ a =  \frac{1}{5}  \\
here

》a = 1/x = 1/5

》=( x = 5 ) ans

》b= 1/y = 7

》y = 1/7

》(x , y) = ( 5, 1/7)
