The force on the bottom of a tank is 120 kg wt .If the pressure is 12 Pascal ,find the area .

  • Force = 120 kg wt = 120 × 9.8 = 1176 N
  • Pressure = 12 pascal

To find :-

  • Area = ?

Solution :-

As we know,

  • \sf{Pressure~=~\dfrac{Force}{Area}}

So,

  • \sf{Area = \dfrac{Pressure}{Force}}

Put the given values :-

\implies \sf\dfrac{1176}{12}

\implies 98 \sf{m^2}

  • Area = 98 \sf{m^2}
