The frame of a lampshade is cylindrical in shape . It has base diameter 28 cm and height17 cm . It is to be covered with a decorative cloth . A margin of 2 cm is to given for folding it over top and bottom of the frame . If 1/12 of cloth is washed in cutting and pasting , find how much cloth is required to be purchased for covering the frame.

1/12×1848=154cm
1848cm+154cm=2002cm

=10cm

height=30+2*2.5(margin given)

cloth required for covering the lampshade which is cylindrical in shape= CSA of the cylinder

=2πrh

=[2*22/7*10*(30*5)]

=2200cm²
