P. Sriramulu or Potti Sriramulu self sacrifices his life for the state of Andhra Pradesh.

He was taking a hunger strike for support of the formation of Andhra Pradesh for through people in Madras presidency.

When that time Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime minister he promised to support the creation of Andra state.

Some of the freedom fighters would not accept that proposal.

Sriramulu started the hunger strike in Madras for this action the government announced that Andra Pradesh would be a separate state.

Sriramulu died because of this hunger strike, he is the only person in Indian history to take this brave decision and stand for it till his death.
