GIVEN:

The freezing point of water is 32f.

Tim added potassium and freezing point went down by 8f.

TO FIND :

Freezing point of the water with the added potassium

SOLUTION :

◆Freezing point of water = 32f

◆With added potassium , the freezing point went down by 8f.

◆That is 8f lesser than 32f.

◆New freezing point = 32f - 8f = 24f.

◆Converting to ℃ ,degree Celsius

(24°f -32)×5/9 = -4.4℃

ANSWER

New freezing point = 24f.
