The frequency of the electron becomes 1/8th of its initial frequency.

Let frequency in nth orbital be f .

Frequency in an orbital is directly proportional to the angular velocity in the orbital, f ∝ w.

=> f ∝ w

=> w ∝ v/r

v ∝ 1/n² , r ∝ n

=> w ∝ 1/n³

=> f ∝ 1/n³

The frequency in the nth orbital will be directly proportional to 1/n³.

f' = frequency in second orbital

f' = frequency in the first oribal / (2)³ , it the 1/8th of the frequency in the first orbital.
