Although the statement is ironical, it is the truth. The nightingale was very talented and had a beautiful voice but she was a novice. She did not understand her potential and was so innocent and gullible that she believed the frog. The frog on the other hand was not talented at all and had a gruff voice but he was shrewd and an opportunist. He knew that the nightingale is naive and so he exploited her. He led her to her death and ruled in the end.
