Somatostatin =>>>>
It is also known as growth hormone. It is a peptide hormone.
In the hypothalamus It regulate the secretion of hormones coming from the pituitary gland, including growth hormone and thyroid stimulating hormones. Somatostatin inhibits the secretion of pancreatic hormones , including insulin and glucagon.

Ahoy.
_____

Somatostatin:

• Somatostatin inhibits growth, it does not allow growth to occur after some period of life
Time. It does so by affecting the pituitary gland.

• Somatostatin is a polypeptide (a polymer of many amino acids). Its secretion affects our endocrine system.

• it is certainly produced by many tissues but not all of them. These tissues generally lie in the digestive and nervous pathways.
For example- it is produced by delta cells of pancreas. ( you can write just pancreas if you have not studied about the different cells in pancreas)

• it doesn't only inhibit secretion of growth hormone but it also inhibits secretion of some other hormones as well such as inhibiting secretion of insulin ( lowering blood sugar hormone) and glucagon (increasing blood sugar hormone) from pancreas.
