P = absolute pressure of gas in sealed container = 9.25 atm

P₀ = standard pressure outside the container = 1 atm

we know that the gauge pressure is the difference in absolute pressure and standard pressure. hence

gauge pressure = absolute pressure - standard pressure

ΔP = P - P₀

ΔP = 9.25 - 1

ΔP = 8.25 atm
