The generative cell of two - celled pollen divides in the pollen tube but not in a three celled poll

Hi...
In a 3-celled pollen, as the generative cell has already been divided and formed 2 male gametes, it will not divide again in the pollen tube. But in a 2-celled pollen, as the generative cell has not divided, it divides in the pollen tube.

. They are vegetative cell and generative cell .

. After pollination , in the pollen tube the generative cell divides to give rise to two male gametes.

. But in some angiosperms , the pollen grains are shed at three celled stage.
