● Solution -
- Electronic configuration of Ni is [Ar] 3d8 4s2
- Unpaired electrons wll get paired as CO is strong field ligand.
- Complex thus gets sp3 hybridization which is responsible for tetrahedral geometry.
- As there are no unpaired electrons, complex behave as diamagnetic material.
