Let side of each square be ‘s ‘

Area of one square is s^2 ,

No.of squares=12

Therefore 12s^2=432cm^2

S^2=432/12=36cm

S=6cm

Perimeter of one square=4*s

=4*6=24

Therefore perimeter of the whole fig =12*24=288cm

Answer:

156 cm

Explanation:

The first step is to count the number of squares in the diagram.

When we count we find that there are 12 squares.

The next step is to get the area of each of the 12 small squares.

The total area = 432 cm²

The area of each small square is :

432/12 = 36 cm²

Since these are squares it means they have equal sides.

So we get the square root of the area of each square to get the sides.

Square root of 36 = 6 cm

The squares are of side 6 cm.

Perimeter is the length all round of the diagram.

We have :

Along the widths : 3 × 6 + 3 × 6 = 36 cm

Along the lengths: 10 × 6 + 10 × 6 = 120 cm

The perimeter = 120 + 36 = 156 cm
