The Given Figure Shows A Small Garden. The shaded area is reserved for planting flowers and rest of the area is for play ground. Find the ratio of area of garden reserved for planting flowers to area reserved for the playground.​

Answer:

Area of garden = 18 x 6 = 108 sq. m

Area of shaded portion = 18 x 2 = 36 sq.m

Hence, Ratio of area for planting flower to that of the area for playground = 36 / 108 = 1 : 3
