Draw BE perpendicular to AD

In rectangle BCDE , BE = DC = 15cm and DE = CB = 8 cm

In right-angled triangle ABE,

AE² = AB²-BE²

AE² = 17² - 15²

AE = √64

AE = 8 cm

Also ,

AD = AE + DE

AD = 8 + 8 ⇒ 16 cm

Now,

Area of Trapezium

  =  >  \frac{1}{2} ( AB+ BC) \times BE

 =  >  \frac{1}{2} (16cm + 8cm) \times 15cm

 =  > 180cm {}^{2}

And,

Perimeter of Trapezium

➫ AB + BC + CD + DA

➫ (17+8+15+16) cm

➫ 56 cm
