the given figure triangle ABC in DF are similar if area of triangle ABC is equal to 49 centimetre square square and square of triangle d e f is equal to 64 CM square and ac is equal to 4.8 cm find DF

Area of triangle ABC = 49 cm²


And,




Area of triangle DEF = 64 cm²




AC = 4.8 cm








As we know that the area of two similar triangles is equal to the square of their corresponding sides.





Therefore,


Area of ∆ABC/ Area of ∆DEF = (AC/DF)²




49 / 64 = (4.8/DF)²






49 / 64 = 23.04 / DF²







DF² = 23.04 × 64 / 49



DF² = 1474.56/49






DF² = 30.09




DF = ✓30.09





DF = 5.48 cm
