Answer:

Explanation:

The Godavari originates in Triambakeshwar in Maharashtra and empties itself  into the Bay of Bengal.

The river Godavari is the second longest river of India after river Ganga. It originates in Triambakeshwar in Maharashtra. It takes the route in the eastern direction and flows for about 1,465 kilometres feeding the states of Maharashtra , Telangana , Andhra Pradesh , Chhattisgarh , Odisha before culminating into the Bay of Bengal.

It is one of the largest river basin of India measuring up to 312,812 square kms. (120,777 sq mi) after the Ganga and Indus rivers, which command  a larger drainage. Godavari river is the largest in the country in terms of length, catchment area and discharge.

Hope this helps.
