Institutional and technological reforms :  

(i) Land holdings were consolidated.  

(ii) Co-operative movements were started in Indian agriculture.

(iii) Zamindari system was abolished.

(iv) The Green Revolution, White Revolution (Operation Flood) and related technologies were introduced.

(v) Establishment of Grameen banks, cooperative societies and banks for providing loan facilities to the farmers at lower rates of interest.

(vi) Kissan Credit Card (KCC) was introduced for easy availability of inputs.

 (vii) Special weather bulletins and agricultural programmes for farmers were introduced on the radio and television.

(viii)The government also announces minimum support price.
