Answer:

(i) A to B

speed = distance/time

distance=3cm=0.03m

time=3 sec

so,

speed is

0.03/3

=0.01m/s

(ii) B to C

speed = distance/time

distance=2cm=0.02m

time=2sec

so,

speed is

0.02/2

=0.01m/s

(iii) C to D

speed = distance/time

distance=4cm=0.04m

time=2sec

so,

speed is

0.04/2

=0.02m/s

hope it helps. . . . .

Answer:

(I) 1 cm/s

(ii) Zero

(ii) Zero(iii) 2 cm/s

(ii) Zero(iii) 2 cm/sExplanation:

(i) The distance covered from A to B is( 3-0) =3 cm

Time taken to cover the distance from A to B =(5 -2) =3s

Speed = Distance/Time

Speed = 3 cm/3 sec

Speed = 1 cm/s.

(ii) The speed of the body as it moves from B to C is zero.

(iii) The distance covered from C to D is (7-3)=4 cm

Time taken to cover the distance from C to D = (9-7)=2s

Speed = Distance / Time

Speed = 4 cm/2 sec

Speed = 2 cm/s.
