Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

(B) 1/4 F

● Explanation -

Gravitational force acting on the bodies is given by -

F = Gm₁m₂ / r²

When masses of both objects are halved i.e. m₁' = m₁/2 and m₂' = m₂/2

F' = Gm₁'m₂' / r²

F' = G(m₁/2)(m₂/2) / r²

F' = Gm₁m₂ / 4r²

F' = (Gm₁m₂/r²) / 4

F' = F/4

Therefore, gravitational force now becomes F/4.

Thanks dear..
