According to Evangelism, salvation may be obtained by spreading the message of Jesus Christ, his teachings, preaching the four canonical gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, written between 70 – 100 AD.

Those who practise Evangelism are known as evangelists or missionaries, whose aim is, by spreading the above messages and teachings, convert people of other faith to Christianity. Some Christians disagree with Evangelism.

The great awakening’s religious resurgence served to revive evangelicalism.

Therefore, the salvation can be attained according to evangelicals through personal conversion and a complete faith in gospel.

This all happened in the time of new lights preachers when they propagated emotion in religion and there should be rationality in the religion.

This great awakening religious resurgence revived evangelicalism during that period.
