SOLUTION:

Let one number be x, and another number be x+12

since the sum of two numbers is 10 then,

x+x+12=10

2x+12=10

2x=10-12

2x=-2

x=-2/2

x=-1

therefore, one number is -1 and greater number is -1+12=11.
