The greatest and the least resultant of the two forces acting at a point are 29N and 5N respectively. If each force is increased by 3N , find the resultant of the two forces acting at right angle to each other ?
So mates do we have to find the angle made by resultant with the force?

Answer:If two forces are F1 and F2 then,

F1 + F2 = 29N

F1 - F2 = 5N

Add above two equations

2F1 = 34N

F1 = 17N

From first equation

F2 = 29 - 17 = 12N

When increased by 3N

F1 = 17N + 3N = 20N

F2 = 12N + 3N = 15N

Resultant = sqrt(20^2 + 15^2) = sqrt(400 + 225) = sqrt(625) = 25N
