the greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it essay in 1000 words

Everyone in the world thinks putting the things in order is not his job. The present critical condition of the world is because of this apathetic attitude. The world was made a better place to live in by people who thought it their responsibility to put something right they found wrong. If Lincoln would not abolish slavery, who would? If Mother Theresa would not help the poor and the afflicted, who would? The way man is handling planet earth doesn't augur well. After the industrial revolution, man just blindly exploited the natural resources to produce as much as he could so that he could earn huge profits. Millions of hectares of forests were cut; rivers, seas, lakes, and ponds were polluted; any animal that served his purpose, uncountable number of its species were hunted for food, flesh and fur. Now is the time to repair all the damage. But it is so painful to see, common man's eschewing attitude. In spite of the fact that utter annihilation is looming so large in front of him, man still is caught in the web of lethargy. All men have the same indifferent attitude to the careful handling of our delicate planet. No one is ready to take any initiative. All think that someone else will do the damage repair! And that someone has yet to incarnate! This pass the buck attitude is very dangerous for the entire mankind. After all how long shall the mother earth feed her billions of children who are bent upon destroying it with their nukes? With this demonic brutishness, the earth won't live long. How silly of man to think he can survive without the survival of the planet. It is high time we, the men and women realized our responsibility towards maintaining and preserving our planet. We must start caring for it.
We must dare to clear
the clutter we see. We must try to do all that we can to wipe a tear; to plant
a tree; to resist the temptation of littering the road; to follow all the
traffic rules. If all of us will take careful actions ensuring all's welfare,
then all the ills in the world will automatically disappear. We must not ignore
the problems that are ailing our society. We will have to be proactive in
taking action. We will have to stop being selfish. If we put it off till
another day, may be that day will never come! It has already been delayed. So
let's not pass the buck on others; let's all become responsible doing little
good we can by taking actions. Now the most crucial step to be taken is the practical healing of the wounds of the mother earth. Who will do it? It is easier said than done! Well, as has always been the case, great thinkers, conservationists, environmentalists, Green movement volunteers and people who really care for the world, will have to join hands and launch save the planet campaigns. The saving the planet should be two-pronged strategy---stop the pollution; and plant trees. These volunteers can involve media and the government agencies. Once the repair work begins, many more people join the save the planet movement. There is already much work being done in this regard in developed countries. The developing countries are lagging behind in preserving their environment. So the focus needs to be directed towards these countries. Schools, colleges, general people need to be approached and made aware of the implications of the current damage being done to the environment. The situation is not helpless; it can be handled. People have to be stimulated into action. All we need is some dedicated individuals who can sensitize the people and make 'save environment' a mass movement. We have all the resources to change people's apathy into empathy. The industrialists in developing countries need to be made aware of their ill practices. They need to be shown the future. Similarly the corrupt government officials who are responsible for the implementation of environmental protection laws, also need to be sensitized to the consequences of their corrupt practices. Once all the people who are closely connected with the environmental protection are involved in the 'Save the Planet' drive, positive results are sure to be visible.
Actually we need role models who can show the people how to be proactive in saving the environment. There have been some really inspiring environment preservation movements in India. For instance, Chipko movement started by Chandni Prasad Bhatt and Sundar Lal Bahuguna had phenomenal impact on saving forests in Garwhal. Vandana Shiva's Navdanya Movement promoting biodiversity conservation and organic farming also stands as an inspiring model to be followed. We need such people with vision and mission who can obdurately oppose the apathetic attitude of the government and the people in areas related to environment.
So in conclusion it can be said that the only thing to be fought is the people's apathy to the environment; once that apathy is managed, all the other environmental problems will be managed in due course of time. Together we can do it.

Given:
Area of the circle = 25π cm^2
To Find:
The diameter and the circumference of the circle.
Formula:
Diameter = 2 × (Radius)
Circumference of a circle = 2πr
Area of a circle = πr^2
Explanation:
According to the question,
Area = 25π
πr^2 = 25π
radius, r = √25 cm = 5 cm
π gets cancelled because it is common in both the terms.
Diameter = 2 ( Radius )
Diameter = 2 ( 5 ) = 10 cm
Circumference = 2πr
Circumference = 2π(5)
Circumference = 10π cm
Answer:
The diameter of the circle is 10 cm.
The circumference of the circle is 10π cm.
