The ground is a square field measuring 600 m in length.

(1) 3.75 m wide field on four sides is left exclusively for march past. Calculate the area alloted for march past.

(2) Students participating in relay have to cover the ground for twice for the march past. Calculate the total distance covered during this race.

(3) At the centre of the ground 4m by 2.5m field is alloted for long jump. Calculate the area of the field alloted for long jump.

Please do it immediately. please

ans for (2) is

(2) students cover the field twice

part of field allotted for march pass is 3.75m
so if cover twice than the total distance covered by them is 3.75×2 = 7.50m

(3)area allotted for the long jump is

it's a rectangle so formula IS L×B

L×B =4m×2.5m=10m

I HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU

anushka7337: no last step ans will be 8m

here is your answer

Given, length and breadth of ground= 600m(AB=BC)

Now, Length of EF= FG

= 600-3.75= 596.25m

Plz refer to the attachment for diagram.

1)) Now,

area of march past

=> area of ABCD- area of EFGH

=> (600×600) - (596.25×596.25)

=> 360000 - 355,514.0625

=> 4,485.9375 m^2

So the area for the mass past is 4,485.9375 m^2.

2)

here,

total distance covered during this race

=> 2× length of march past road.

=>2×(4a)

=>8 × 596.25

=>4,770 m

So, the total distance is 4,770 m that is covered during race.

3))Given,

length of field for long jump=4m

Breadth of field for long jump=2.5m

Hence area of rectangular area of the field alloted for long jump is

=>l×b

=>2.5 × 4

=>10m^2

HENCE, area of rectangular area of the field alloted for long jump is 10m^2.

thanks
