The complete questions is as follows:

The ground state energy of hydrogen atom is -13.6eV. what are the Kinetic and potential energies of the electron in this state.

Given :

ground state energy of hydrogen atom =E= -13.6eV

Kinetic energy= - K.E

K.E=  -E = -(-13.6) = 13.6 eV

Potential  energy =2(-K.E)

Potenial energy= - 2x13.6 = -27.2 eV

∴K.E is -13.6eV and P.E is -27.2 eV
